7th October 2104
An early start and foggy morning as we drove to SEATAC airport at 6 am this morning.
Our flight was uneventful, and a little quicker than scheduled, landing in Toronto at just after 3pm (There is a 3 hour time difference with the US West Coast) . By the time we cleared immigration, got our bags and hire car, it was around 4pm.
We have basically spent the day travelling, and have a 45 minute drive to Oakville (South of Toronto City Centre), where we have booked our accommodation for the night. When we arrived it was raining and this has continued on tonight, but we hope for better weather tomorrow. Fortunately there is a restaurant at the motel, so we do not have to venture out in this weather.
We have now sorted out our flights to Quebec from Boston, organised through Holland America Line. So we now need to work out a plan to use up the spare days whilst we wait for the cruise to depart on 18th October.
We will pick up Kathy and David Small tomorrow morning in London ON, before heading to Niagara on the Lake for a few days.
